Letter from the Director Ask Emerson Best Buddies Spotlight e-Buddy of the Month Tech Corner

contentsAsk Emerson

All of your e-Buddies questions answered here!

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "The only way to have a friend is to be one." In the spirit of those inspiring words, Ask Emerson is a feature designed to help you be the best friend you can be. Each month, we will select a question or two for responses. Send your questions to eBuddiesComments@bestbuddies.org.

Dear Emerson,

I don't always know what to talk about with my e-Buddy. Do you have any advice?

Signed,
Tongue-tied in Texas

Dear Tongue-tied,

It's common when starting any friendship to wonder what to talk about. You can always talk about your day, upcoming plans, or the last movie you saw. You could also talk with your e-Buddy about something that's bothering you. Opening up about your own stress can be a great way to make your e-Buddy feel more comfortable.

Of course, don't forget to keep asking your e-Buddy questions about their life, even if they don't always respond.

You can always ask for ideas on our message boards on the e-Buddies Online Community. If you need your user ID and password, just e-mail eBuddiesComments@bestbuddies.org.

Signing off,
Emerson
