Webmail users: Add your e-Buddy to your online Address Book!
AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo users: Are you worried that your e-mails from your e-Buddy may not be getting to you? If so, please be sure to add your e-Buddy’s e-mail address to your online Address Book or Safe List! This will help ensure that your e-mail provider does not mistake e-mails from your e-Buddy as spam.
Security Reminder: E-mail Attachments
Just a quick reminder: according to the e-Buddies Code of Conduct, e-Buddies participants are not permitted to send e-mail attachments to their e-Buddy.
One reason for this is that e-mail attachments can sometimes contain computer viruses; by clicking on any e-mail attachment, there is a risk that you could be exposing your computer to a virus.
Before you open ANY attachment, always make sure that you are certain that the attachment was sent from someone you know. If possible, scan that file with a fully updated anti-virus program. Never open attachments from people you don’t know!
Going out of town? Let us know!
Are you going to be out of town for more than a week, and will be unable to check your e-mail? Please be sure to let us know, so we don’t send you any reminder e-mails in error.
We also encourage you to use our “match suspension” tool in the e-Buddies Community. This allows you to tell us when you will not be able to e-mail your e-Buddy. Simply log into the Community, then click on the “View Status” button to get started. Please visit:
