On May 20th riders will gather to participate in the Seventh Annual Volvo Best Buddies Challenge-Hyannis Port. Join Honorary Chair Tedy Bruschi to cycle with celebrities and support people with intellectual disabilities.
The Volvo Best Buddies Challenge-Hyannis Port is a premier fundraising bike ride offering participants an unforgettable cycling experience between the JFK Library in Boston and the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port. Riders will have the opportunity to ride side-by-side with athletic legends and Hollywood celebrities along the 90 or 20-mile course. The event features a one-of-a-kind post-ride clambake and concert at the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port.
Riders participating in the 90 Mile Ride will start at 7:30am from the JFK Library in Boston, while those participating in the 20-Mile Ride will start at 11:00am. When riders finish the challenge, they will be able to refresh at the West Beach Club in Hyannis Port. They will have access to hot showers, restrooms, changing facilities and light snacks.
The Victory Celebration Party will be held at the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port from 3:30 to 7:30pm. Guests will be treated to a lobster clambake, celebrity appearances, awards ceremony and a concert featuring the Go-Go’s.
All of the money raised will support Best Buddies in their efforts to enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and employment.
100% of money raised by e-Buddies participants will fund e-Buddies! On your registration form, be sure to say that you were referred by "Lisa Derx," and that you found out about the Volvo Best Buddies Challenge-Hyannis Port from "e-Buddies E-mail."
