I have just returned from our annual Best Buddies Leadership Conference, where 1,200 high school and college student leaders from around the world gathered to learn about Best Buddies. I was delighted that e-Buddies training was included for conference participants, and I want to thank e-Buddies members Daniel Thompson and Peter Fleming for doing a terrific job telling the students about our program.
We have been working with the wonderful people at Minot University to revise and update our e-Buddies Guide to Internet Literacy. Look for the new version early in 2008.
Last, I am a fan of the Harry Potter books, and I am writing this on the day I finished reading the seventh and final book in the series. There are many lessons learned in the books, but the biggest is the importance of relying on our friends for help and support, as well as simple fun. Like Harry discovers, I hope each of you finds what you need from the friends you have.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
All the best,
