Conversation Starters

Each e-Beat, we briefly feature various topics that can serve as conversation starters for your e-mails with your e-Buddy. Our hope is that these suggestions will help to either start your conversation or add some new thoughts into an ongoing conversation.

Now that winter is in full swing and snow storms are sweeping through the country, it will be great to start conversations asking what your e-buddy likes to do in this winter wonderland. There are plenty of fun activities such as snowball fights, sledding and building snowman. e-Buddies can also stroll down memory lane talking about the winter wonderland stories of their childhood. You can ask:

  • What do you like to do when there is snow?
  • Do you like to play in snow?
  • What activities do you like to do in the snow?
  • Do you like the winter weather?
If you are lucky enough to enjoy warm weather through this winter season, this will be a great way to talk about the holiday season. You can discuss presents exchanged or just the relaxing days spent in the sun on vacation. One story can lead to another, so share your witty stories and get conversations started. You can ask:
  • What do you do during the holiday season?
  • Did you go anywhere fun for the holidays?
  • Did you see your family? And did you enjoy seeing them?
  • What presents did you get? And did you partake in the shopping season?
  • Did you get presents for your family? What reactions did you get?

Have you had a great conversation with your e-Buddy about something?
