Best Buddies Spotlight
By Ginney Robertson

April is here and for those of us sports minded people this means several things. The NCAA Championship has come to an exciting close, and the Major League Baseball season is about to begin. Also in April, the National Hockey Leagues regular season is drawing to a close and play-offs are about to start. A couple key people involved in the NHL have something other then the love of the game in common; they share in their support of Best Buddies.

As you may recall from last months letter, the Phoenix Coyotes hosted a Best Buddies Bash. Coyote forward Landon Wilson is a big supporter of Best Buddies. He is even a member of one of the advisory boards. The Phoenix team has worked close with our staff in Arizona to help spread our message.

Beyond the Coyotes, the Washington Capitals organization is also a supporter of Best Buddies. Team owner Ted Leonsis has been a huge supporter of Best Buddies since 1995. The Capitals have a PSA about e-Buddies that airs before the beginning of every home game. They will also be hosting a Best Buddies Night on April 9th against the Chicago Blackhawks. A portion of the special ticket sales will help benefit Best Buddies in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. For further information about the Capitals vs. the Blackhawks, click here.

With the support of organizations like the Phoenix Coyotes and the Washington Capitals we are able to reach a new group of people who may not know about Best Buddies. Help show your support of those who help Best Buddies, join us at e-Buddies in wishing the Coyotes and Capitals the best of luck in the post-season!
