How to reactivate your Hotmail Account

If you have not checked your Hotmail e-mail account over the summer, your account may have been discontinued due to inactivity.

To reactivate your Hotmail e-mail account, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to www.hotmail.com.
2. Type in your user name and password to log into your account.
3. You will be taken to a screen saying "Congratulations! A Hotmail account has been reserved for you."
4. At the bottom of the screen, click on the button that says "Activate my account."
5. When prompted with the MSN Terms of Use Agreement, click the "I Accept" button.
6. On the next screen, click the titled "Or, sign up for FREE E-mail (with a 2MB storage limit and without the other features)" located at the bottom of the screen.
7. On the next screen, scroll all the way to the bottom and hit the "Continue" button.
8. On the next screen, repeat step 7.
9. You will be taken to your Hotmail Inbox.

Note: If your account has been deactivated, you will not be able to recover any messages or address book contacts you had accumulated before your account was suspended.
