How to Sign Up for e-Buddies

Below are instructions to sign up an individual for e-Buddies. If your son/daughter will be participating in e-Buddies through a school or agency, the teacher/admin will fill out the online application.

Before you get started, make sure you have the following:

Fill out the e-Buddies Application

  1. Click Join e-Buddies on the left column of
  2. Select the appropriate link for who is signing up - an individual with intellectual disabilities, or one without intellectual disabilities.
    1. If an individual with intellectual disabilities is signing up, a second screen will appear with options. Choose the Individuals link.
  3. After reviewing the information on the page, select Click here to continue.
  4. Please read the Code of Conduct. If you agree to the terms, check the box at the bottom of the page and click I Agree.
  5. Here you will enter the participant's contact information. When you are finished, click Submit.
  6. Fill out the background information for the participant. Click Submit.
  7. Fill out the interests of the applicant. This will help us find a suitable match. Click Submit.
  8. Fill out the parent contact information if a parent's consent is needed. Here you will enter contact information for 3 references. Click Submit.
  9. Review the information. If everything is correct, click the link at the bottom of the page to submit.

An e-mail will be sent to the participant after completing these steps confirming the receipt of the application.

*e-Buddies does not create e-mail addresses for participants. Each member must have an individual e-mail address.
